Introduction to Guardianships

Incapacity planning is a major part of estate planning. One who is incapacitated is unable to make decisions about their own health or bodily autonomy. If proper planning has not been done, then sometimes a court needs to step in and appoint a “guardian” to manage the person’s health and bodily autonomy. Today’s video is a basic introduction to guardianships: What are they, what does a guardian do, and how does a guardianship begin and end.
