SSI Proposed Rule Change: In Kind Food Income
SSI, or Supplemental Security Income, is a safety net program which grants certain individuals who have qualifying disabilities, are over 65, or are blind a basic income. To qualify for benefits, individuals must satisfy the limited income requirements, including a limitation to held assets and an offset to federal benefits in the amount of countable income.
